Translations For You Joanna Jackiewicz

Certified (Sworn) Translation

I provide certified (sworn) translation recognized by courts, authorities, embassies and other institutions in Poland and abroad. Certified translations into English are needed, e.g. when applying for jobs or studying abroad, when traveling abroad, for medical treatment in other countries. The sworn translator certifies the document with her seal and signature and the appropriate certification confirming the compliance with the source document. Translations can also be certified with a qualified electronic signature of a sworn translator [link do artykułu]. Such translation has the same legal force as the original document, so it needs to be faithful and flawless. I obtained my credentials granted by the Minister of Justice in 2014 after passing an exam in translation and interpreting. As a sworn translator I am obliged to maintain the confidentiality of any information I learn about in connection with my profession.

Documents that may require certification of a sworn translator include:

  • sales contracts, services contracts, lease contracts and other contracts

  • powers of attorney

  • corporate documents: extracts from the commercial register, articles of association, By-laws, certificates of good standing

  • notarial deeds, notarial certifications

  • pleadings and judgments

  • visa documents

  • official decisions

  • certificates of compliance

  • invoices

  • documents required for work permit, residence permit

  • vital records

  • testamenty

  • driving licence, identity card, residence card etc.

  • school certificates and diplomas

  • psychological opinions

  • medical certificates.

  • consent for the child to go abroad

I prepare all translations with the utmost care and attention to detail. I adhere to all principles of confidentiality and conformity to the original, which is certified by my seal and signature. To become a sworn translator, you need to pass a difficult written and oral exam organized by the Ministry of Justice. It is not enough to know a foreign language and be able to translate, you also need to demonstrate knowledge of legal and financial terminology and the ability to interpret consecutively.
